certo, la fotocamera è una Panasonic Lumix GH5 mark II (GH5M2), per quanto riguarda il suono ho varie combinazioni, in questo caso ho registrato con il registratore portatile che si intravede nel video, uno Zoom H8, poi porto tutto sul computer e lavoro con Ableton e tanti plugin di tante marche, principalmente Eventide, Softube e Universal Audio

eh si, non c'è paragone.. poi però dipende tutto dal contesto, una Godin può rendere la vita di un chitarrista molto più semplice

ciao posso chiederti per quale genere e quale scopo vorresti la Godin? Nel senso, fai molte serate o più per registrare o lo studio..

ok.. te lo chiedevo perché nel mi caso, per esempio, è un po' sprecata, soprattutto al momento. Quando si tratta di registrare, a meno che uno non cerchi proprio questo suono alla "Sting" , quindi casi peculiari, è sempre meglio un microfono e una chitarra classica "acustica", anche economici. Se uno invece fa molte serate beh.. per il live è diverso. Microfonare una chitarra classica è complicato e con i feedback sempre pronti, a quel punto la Godin è una svolta. Il manico è incredibile, l'intonazione praticamente perfetta su tutto il manico, il suono decente e abbastanza ricco da essere plasmato con una buona eq. Solo che è un giocattolo costoso, nel mio caso è sprecata perchè non faccio una serata da forse 5 anni.. anche se quando ci ho suonato per strada.. sono rimasto davvero molto soddisfatto dalla risposta della chitarra sotto ogni punto di vista.

I agree with your feedback (and thanks for the Tonedexter tip, I've just checked it and it sounds great). I sold my Yamaha, and I made a big mistake.. In my experience and opinion the Yamaha is a toy compared to the Godin for many reasons, but it was so magical at night to put good headphones on and practice or jam with reverb, and the guitar was so light! I'm having big issues with my back at the moment, I miss the Yamaha so much that I'm considering buy another one..

@@FabioGrando understand completely. I am a steel string player mostly (though I have a nice acoustic nylon string, too) so the Yamaha is not something I reach for naturally. But it is a great piece of equipment - versatile, dependable, durable. I am planning to get the Tonedexter at some point (have several guitars with piezo that could use some “tuning up” on their plugged in sound), those video reviews sound promising. We’ll see. Anyway. SLGN is a toy, really :) But it is a great toy and a great addition to our “proper” acoustics. For the price, it’s a rocket. But if you have the Godin…

As far as sound is concerned, the Godin is also a toy.. And a very expensive one. For sure the spectrum is richer than the Yamaha, a lot of people commented they prefer the Yamaha sound just because it seems more "natural", but they don't understand that if the Godin is too bright you can easily fix it, the missing frequencies of the Yamaha are not easy to fix, and also the basses are out of control.. In many spots it sounds dull and scooped.. Maybe it is my fault, I used just one preset, and now I can't make another video because I sold the Yamaha.. Anyway, the Godin is a reliable and very well made instrument for jazz and pop professional musicians I think, this Yamaha is the perfect practice nylon guitar for everyone (except flamenco players) Thanks for sharing your experience and for the chat, bye 👋

@@FabioGrando you are right about the Yamaha sound and that’s what I heard listening to your video. That I’d rather have Godin and find/fix the sound. Can’t add what you don’t have. The original pre-sets of Yamaha don’t help much. Unless you really crank up the reverb, it sounds plasticky and I often find myself playing it in heavy chorus preset which really doesn’t sound like a nylon acoustic guitar. So, sound quality wise, I don’t think you’ve missed much as far as SLGN is concerned. It sounds better when EQ’d through an amp or a soundboard…but I bet Godin sounds even better after touch-ups. There is a Tonedexter video with SLGN played, too. That sounds very good. Thank you, too.

@@FabioGrando I watched that video apparently 😅. I actually remember liking the Yamaha more. But yeah, I wish there was an “onboard” way to deal with it. Because when used for its intended purpose eg silent practice with headphones the low end just washes out everything…
